This book has great illustrations and is simple to follow. On each page there are a few facts about each creature, their common name, scientific name, and job title, a joke, and some hidden images to find. This book is great for kids who get overwhelmed by books with "too many words" and too much information. My daughters, 7 and 11, both loved it, and so did I! The beautiful illustrations are fun to study and talk about. The simple format helps to teach them a lot of new facts without being too much to take in. Great for kids who are learning to read but feel like reading a whole book is "too hard". You can take turns reading the small bubbles of information. It's so great! We homeschool and I love finding educational books that teach my kids while we have fun. Would definitely recommend this book for kids who love to learn!

Amazing!!!! Would love to see the authors develop this into a complete STEAM kit. As a retired science teacher and grandmother I am always looking for something that brings out the fun in learning, and this book certainly has the potential.( I seldom write reviews, but this is really a great book if you have the time to read it with your child. It will take a little explanation for most early to middle elementary aged children. ) Even though the reading level is below their levels, my 8 year old granddaughter will love creating these scenes with play dough and the 9 year old may enjoy writing puppet shows about these creatures because of the way the authors have portrayed them. What a great tool to begin a scavenger hunt in the backyard looking for the animals and spending quality family time together! I found myself as an adult looking up additional facts about these bugs to satisfy my own curiosity. The Seek and Find and bug jokes are great touches! Overall interest level is about 4-9 unless you want to use it as a springboard with creative extensions to engage older or younger children.

Wonderful educational in a fun way for my 6 year old grandson. He loves listening to to this book. Requests it every night. We read 4 pages or so. My grandson loves nature and this presentation is so clever and interesting highly recommend!

Wow! What a thorough nonfiction book about how insects interact with the earth. Beautiful illustrations that give a unique perspective that kids wouldn’t normally see. Full of facts, plus little jokes sprinkled throughout and a few speech bubbles to make insects relatable.

Excellent book. I reviewed it and can’t wait to give it to my grandson. I would highly recommend this to any young explorer. It would make a great birthday or Christmas gift. The pages are colorful and the print is large.

My youngest is terrified of bugs, but absolutely LOVED this book for its cozy hidden illustrations and bug themed jokes. He would ask for more every day! We used it for a summer studies nature unit and all learned new and fascinating facts from the 7yr old through 13yr old - Mom and Dad too!
