This book is a must-read for girls ages 8 - 12. (And their mothers! LOL!) I think I enjoyed this book as much or more than my daughter! The questions are spot-on, and the answers are so honest, factual, and kid-friendly. They take away a lot of the natural anxiety that comes with being a pre-teen and experiencing all these new changes. The pictures and colors are vivid and appealing! The little charts at the end of the book for period tracking are perfect! My daughter and I loved the whole vibe of the book, plus we both learned a lot! What a great purchase!
Many years ago I was blessed to have given birth to a beautiful baby girl! She has now grown into a wonderful young lady. But I wish I had this book when she was growing up! Lol...
The questions she had were crazy and I was never prepared for what was coming next! The looks on her face when I delivered my answers and tried to explain what she was going through! Priceless! Lol
But there's good news for parents out there now trying to figure out how to answer questions, deal with mood swings, confusion and so on, that arise when raising a daughter! This book is written specifically for girls between 8-12 years old that are trying to understand the changes they are going through.
I decided to read this book just to see how many times I didn't get it exactly right [lol] and how it could have been handled differently.

It's a great read with comforting guidelines to offer support. I do highly recommend this book for moms with girls that are getting to that age! Lord how I wish I had it all those years ago! Lol

This book covers all the main topics a preteen and a teenager should learn about the female body. The changes covered include physical and emotional changes. It is scary growing older, for boys and girls. Having books like this one to help explain sensitive topics definitely helps. I definitely recommend this illustrated guide to kids and parents, especially to parents who may be afraid to answer sensitive questions.

This book is fantastic. It covers the tough topics with ease and with understandable explanations. The art is cute and none threatening. It helped me out when having talks with my girl going through puberty. Plus it helped her with things she was to embarrassed to ask.
